The Lord woke me up this morning to question me about my desire to go all the way with Him.  Here is the conversation:

Lord:  Are you willing to go through tribulation?  Are you committed to my full work?

Me:  With You, Lord, all things are possible.  I will go if You are with me.

Lord:  There may be times when it doesn’t feel or look like I am there.

Me:  Then by Your faith, I will follow.  You must give me the necessary faith.

Further inquiry revealed that my motivation for seeing this adventure through cannot be anything but love for the Lord.  It cannot be the excitement of it – it may get mundane.  It cannot be for the provision – it may not always be there.  It cannot be for the joy – it may be very hard and discouraging at times.

I will love You, O LORD, my strength.  The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.  Psalm 18:1-3

This is a continued shift toward trusting Him for everything.  I must be careful not to take this casually, but to work through it and let it work through me.
